Several people are feared killed as gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram attacked Damboa in Borno State on Friday morning.
Damboa has been reportedly deserted by soldiers since the Boko Haram attack on security formations there about two weeks ago.
According to a vigilante official in Maiduguri, who said he spoke with some of his men in the Damboa village, the gunmen stormed the village at about 5 a.m.
Abbas Gava said only a handful of youth vigilante group, known as Civilian-JTF, and some few vigilante officials were available in Damboa to protect the people.
Attempts by soldiers to return to Damboa military base since two weeks ago are said to have failed as the Boko Haram gunmen took over the highway and continued to engage soldiers in ambush attacks that have forced them to return to Maiduguri on two occasions.
"Since the attack, Damboa has no police or soldiers," Mr. Gava said. "It is only the vigilantes that are there and we know their limitations."
He said the "casualty could be very high because my contacts in Damboa said they are still picking and piling the corpses. But many houses, nearly half of what remains of the several attacked town has been burnt".
A senior security personnel, who does not want to be named confirmed the attack to PREMIUM TIMES but said "no details on extent of damage or casualty yet".
The attacks on Borno communities have continued despite a state of emergency in the state and the expenditure of trillions of naira on defence.

“I Was Raped 15 Times A Day By Different Boko Haram Men” Kidnapped Nigerian School Girl Reveals

- Wednesday, 16 July 2014 No Comments
Boko Haram post

One of the girls who escaped from Boko Haram has revealed how she was raped up to 15 times a day.

A Christian counsellor working with the few who managed to escape their Boko Haram captors reportedly told Nigerian media that this young woman was raped multiple times by different men during her ordeal.
“She found it hard to talk to me but…she confessed to me that she was raped 15 times a day by 15 men throughout the time she was with the Islamic insurgents before she could escape from their den,” Oladimeji Thomas told the press.
Despite the shocking nature of this revelation, however, it will unfortunately come as no surprise to those familiar with Boko Haram’s activity. The group, formed in 2009, has close ties to Al-Qaeda and is responsible for over 2,000 deaths so far this year alone.
Members of the extremist faction have abducted several groups of women in addition to the estimated 180 who are still missing after being taken from their school in Chibok, Borno state, on the night of April 14.
The abducted schoolgirls are thought to be being held hostage in return for captured militants, though negotiations have so far failed to ensure their release, and Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has declared the girls – many of whom who are Christian – have been “liberated” and converted to Islam.
Fears continue to mount that the girls are being held as sex slaves for militants, as well as forced into domestic servitude.
Former UK prime minister Gordon Brown, who travelled to Nigeria in the wake of the crisis in his capacity as the UN special envoy for global education, earlier condemned Shekau’s leadership as “cruel and barbaric”.
“It is urgent that all religious leaders in every part of the world speak out against their perverted and twisted version of Islam which involves forced conversions and the sale of girls as sex slaves,” he added.

GOD HELL THE WORLD. Check out what happened to these gays who got their first child. Shocking

This is the emotional moment two dads met their son for the first time. The couple's emotional moment was captured by photographer Lindsay Foster who wrote

"I had the opportunity to photograph this amazing birth on June 27 for a surrogate and two expecting and anxious daddies. Hours were spent with them in the hospital room while the surrogate mom was laboring and I got to know them quite well. They are two compassionate people who felt all the emotions that every new parent feels. They asked all appropriate questions of the birthing mom and the midwife and educated themselves as best as they could for their son's arrival. I am so proud of these two dads."

The pictures liked over 6,000 times also attracted negative comments and the couple, Mr. Barone and Mr. Nelson said.

"Thank you to everyone out there who has taken the time to like, comment and share our picture! This was truly an incredible moment in our lives that will be captured forever by the lovely Lindsay Foster Photography. We are so lucky that we have a beautiful, healthy baby boy! All comments posted are respected, although we may not agree with the negative ones, the positive ones far outweigh the negative. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This is a moment of pure love and acceptance. Milo is surrounded by unconditional love and he will grow up knowing many different types of families and accept everyone, (intolerant people included). Milo was born during World Pride. This picture represents everything Pride is about. Love has no colour nor gender nor sexual preference. Love is unconditional. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! xxoo"

Security is being increased at British airports after the US warned of a possible terror attack between 9pm and 11pm tonight.

It said information from Uganda's police indicated that the attack could take place between 9 pm and 11 pm local time on Thursday, adding that citizens planning to travel at that time to consider reviewing their arrangements.
The Department for Transport said

extra security measures in the UK - which have not been disclosed - were not expected to cause "significant disruption" to passengers and noted that the official threat status remained unchanged.

But travellers reported long queues at  Manchester Airport early on Thursday morning, with airport bosses warning people to leave extra time to check-in.
Passenger Andy Buckley, who was flying to Barcelona from  Manchester  with his son, told the Manchester Evening News : “I’ve never seen queues as long as this at Manchester.

We all understand that security is the primary concern, and people wouldn’t have it any other way, but some passengers were panicking because the queues were about 600 yards long and they felt they were going to miss their flights”.

SCHOOL GIRLS PETITION EDUCATION MINISTER OVER SEXUAL HARASSMENT

School girls petition Education minister over sexual harassment

Female pupils and students from the central region have resolved to petition the minister of Education, Ms Jessica Alupo, to save them from sexual harassment by their teachers.

At a meeting in Kampala on Friday, the coalition of students from different schools, mostly government-aided, said teachers ask them for sex, they do not have lunch at school and the mentally disabled are discriminated. They also said few teachers start teaching in time.

“A teacher asked me for sex and promised that I will be the best in class. When I refused, he started beating me whenever I came to class,” said a Primary Six pupil who declined to identify herself and her school for fear of reprisals.

Brenda Natumbwe, a Senior Two student from Hermann Gmeiner in Wakiso District, said in their petition to the minister, they want punitive action against teachers who defile school girls and urged parents to attend to their children to avoid “temptations”.

Parents blamed
“We shall not only blame government but also parents who don’t care for their daughters. Some parents produce many children and fail to take some to school. We want the minister to intervene and compel parents to feed us, increase teachers’ salaries, classrooms and furniture,” Natumbwe said.
Ms Kulthum Nabunya Muzaata, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) education officer, supported the pupils’ demand to punish randy teachers who demand sex from school girls. She promised to meet all the teachers in schools under KCCA to address the pupils’ grievances.

“It is a shame that pupils are saying this about their teachers. How can a teacher ask for sex from their pupils? These are their own children. I will handle this concern as a matter of urgency,” Ms Nabunya said.
She said KCCA has provided more furniture to schools and plans were underway to have all pupils have lunch at school.

Ms Sarah Naiga from SOS, an NGO that takes care of orphaned children and the organisers of the pupils/students meeting, said they would follow up the issues with the relevant authorities.
The petition will be handed to the minister on the eve of the Day of the African Child on June 11.

Rampant
Cases of teachers sexually abusing their pupils are rampant in Uganda. Last year, a former teacher at Lubira Primary School in Buyanga Sub-County, Iganga District, allegedly defiled nine pupils and impregnated three of them. The teacher was reportedly transferred to another school before investigations and possible disciplinary action could be taken against him.

Boko Haram suspected as bomb kills 14 in Nigeria.

- Monday, 2 June 2014 No Comments

Nigeria has witnessed a growing number of increasingly daring violent attacks by the terrorist group

Nigeria: Boko Haram suspected as bomb kills 14
A bomb blast targeting a television viewing centre for football in northeast Nigeria killed at least 14 people and wounded 12 on Sunday, police and the military said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast in Gavan in the Mubi area of Adamawa state. Islamist militant group Boko Haram, whose struggle for an Islamic state is concentrated in the Northeast, would be the prime suspect.
"So far we have 14 dead while 12 are injured, some of them critically," police spokesman for Adamawa state Usman Abubakar said by telephone. He had no further details.
The group has set off several bombs across north and central Nigeria over the past two months, repeatedly causing carnage.
"I heard a loud blast. The place is near the market, which I had just left. I ran," said John Audu, a resident of the town.
Last weekend, a suicide bomber set out to strike an open-air viewing of a football match in the central city of Jos, but his car blew up before reaching the target, killing three people.
A suicide bombing the week before in Jos killed 118 people, and two bombs on the outskirts of Abuja in April killed 95 between them. Boko Haram, now seen as the main security threat to Africa's biggest economy and top oil producer, has killed thousands since launching an uprising in 2009.
The group is still holding more than 200 schoolgirls that it abducted on April 14, sparking international outrage.
Nigeria's president said on Thursday he had ordered "a full-scale operation" against Boko Haram and sought to reassure parents of the kidnapped girls that their children would be freed.
Since the girls were taken, Boko Haram fighters have killed at least 500 civilians, according to a Reuters count.
Two Italian priests and a Canadian nun, kidnapped in northern Cameroon nearly two months ago by suspected Boko Haram gunmen, were released on Sunday, smiling and apparently in good health as they arrived in the capital.
Cameroonian security forces killed some 40 Boko Haram militants in clashes in the country's far north, state radio said on Sunday. A presidency source confirmed the clashes, which took place west of the town of Kousseri, in the region bordering Nigeria and Chad.
Nigeria has accused Cameroon of not being tough enough on the militants hiding in its border region.

Boko Haram Kingpin Confessed to have Married Two Abducted Schoolgirls. This real sucks

A Boko Haram leader, Hassan Ali, who was reportedly arrested by the local vigilante in Maiduguri three weeks ago, has confessed that he got "married" to two of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls in Sambisa forest.
LEADERSHIP was reliably told that Hassan Ali, a native of Kwapchi-Kilakise village who was said to have killed his biological father, Mallam Hassan Arigizhe, and his uncle, Zakariya Ali, was also said to have sanctioned the killing of his younger sister whom he forcefully took to Sambisa when she refused to accede to the sexual demands of one of the Amirs (leaders) in Sambisa, an act that elevated him to the position of Amir too.
According to the officials of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in Borno State, Hassan was arrested by the Civilian-JTF and members of the VGN when he was spotted in a car trying to leave Maiduguri for Benisheik, along the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway.
A VGN official said: "It was on the first day that we mobilised to Pilgrims Camp when we wanted to be given permission to go to Sambisa in search for the missing girls. When he was asked to identify himself, he pretended to be a dumb person. But those that knew him said he was lying and they started to beat him up; it was when he sensed death that he later confessed that he was a member of Boko Haram, and that he was sent to come to Maiduguri to buy yams worth N200, 000. He said he had finished his transaction and the truck had since left for Sambisa.
"When we asked him about the abducted girls, he said they were all fine, that none of them was being hurt or molested; he said as a matter of fact he was betrothed to two of them as wives due to his position as Amir. He said they eat good food there - mostly canned foods and canned drinks; they eat spaghetti, rice, smoked fish and yam.
"I was the one that personally interviewed him when he was arrested near Njimtilo at the outskirts of Maiduguri, towards Damaturu. I even took some jotting of his statement before we later left him with the Sector-6 officials of the Civilian-JTF. I did not take his photograph but some of our local hunters who had camera phones did. Unfortunately, all of them had gone back to their various localities after the state government had disbanded us last week."
LEADERSHIP cannot independently verify this report, even though many members of the Civilian-JTF in the state attested to such incident happening. None could tell the whereabouts of the Boko Haram kingpin, Hassan Ali.

Dozens killed in twin Boko Haram attacks near Nigeria's Chibok

- Wednesday, 21 May 2014 No Comments

Latest attack comes a day after 118 people died in a double bombing in the central city of Jos, also blamed on Boko Haram

Two attacks by Boko Haram gunmen killed 30 people near Chibok, the northeast Nigerian town where the Islamists kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls last month.
The first attack on Monday afternoon killed 10 in the village of Shawa, some 4.3 miles from Chibok, a number of residents said.
Gunmen then stormed the nearby village of Alagarno late Tuesday and stole food, razed homes and fired on fleeing civilians.
"It was a sudden attack," said resident Haruna Bitrus, in an account supported by other locals.
"They began shooting and set fire to our homes. We had to flee to the bush. They killed 20 of our people," he added.
Many of those who fled the Alagarno attack ran to Chibok, where Boko Haram seized 276 schoolgirls on April 14.
The military said it had deployed heavily to the area to find the 223 girls who remain in captivity.
Major world powers including the United States are offering varying levels of assistance with the rescue mission.

Bitrus said that despite claims of a military build-up in the area, troops had not responded to the latest attack.
"While the gunmen were fleeing, three of their vehicles broke down and they have stayed behind to fix them. They were there up to this morning" with no response from the military, he said.

Pregnant woman given death sentence in Sudan is kept shackled in her cell

Disabled husband of Meriam Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death in Sudan for refusing to renounce Christianity, allowed to visit wife in prison for first time

Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, 27, who was born to a Muslim father but brought up a Christian by her mother
An eight-months pregnant woman is being kept shackled to the wall of her cell as she awaits hanging, her husband has said after visiting her in prison.
Meriam Ibrahim, 26, was sentenced to death in Sudan on Thursday for refusing to recant her Christianity and for marrying Christian Daniel Wani - a Sudanese man with US citizenship who lives in New Hampshire
The court found her guilty of apostasy - leaving Islam - even though Miss Ibrahim testified that she was never a Muslim, and was brought up as a Christian by her Ethiopia-born mother.
The case was drawn to the authorities' attention in August, when Miss Ibrahim's father's family said that she had been born a Muslim and renounced Islam. Fatih Izz Al-Deen, Sudanese parliament speaker, said Miss Ibrahim's brother had denounced her.
"I was never a Muslim," she told the court. "I was raised a Christian from the start."
Miss Ibrahim's husband, American citizen Daniel Wani, is disabled and was in the United States at the time of the verdict.
"I'm so frustrated. I don't know what to do," he said. "I'm just praying."
He uses a wheelchair and "totally depends on her for all details of his life," said Jar Elnabi, her lawyer.
On travelling to Khartoum, he was only allowed to visit her on Monday.
"He originally was not allowed to see her until this week," said Tina Ramirez, executive director of Hardwired, a US-based advocacy group against religious persecution. She told FoxNews.com: "Once he was able to, she was shackled and her legs were swollen."
Mr Wani, who is also a Christian, married Miss Ibrahim in 2011, and the couple run several businesses, including a farm south of Khartoum.
Miss Ibrahim's sentence will not be carried out until after their baby is born. But in prison with her is the couple's 18-month-old child, Martin.
Britain has described the sentence as "barbaric".
Mark Simmonds, Minister for Africa, said: "I am truly appalled that a Sudanese court has sentenced Meriam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag to death for apostasy. This barbaric sentence highlights the stark divide between the practices of the Sudanese courts and the country's international human rights obligations."
The Chargé d'Affaires at the Sudanese embassy in the UK, Bukhari Afandi, was summoned to the Foreign Office last week to meet Simon Gass, the Foreign Office's political director. The FCO said Mr Gass "expressed deep concern at the recent decision to sentence Meriam to death" and asked the Chargé to urge his government "to uphold its international obligations on freedom of religion or belief, and to do all it can to get this decision overturned."
An online petition to call for the sentence to be commuted has been signed by 122,000 people so far.
Mr Al-Deen, the speaker, said the verdict is not final and is in the hands of the judiciary.

Good news for same-sex couples in Oregon: State lifts marriage ban.

Portland: Same-sex couples clamoured to be in Oregon after a federal judge struck down the state ban banning same-sex marriage. The ruling, which came just before a separate legal victory by gay matrimony advocates in Utah, was the latest in a series of court decisions in other states that if upheld will dramatically expand same-sex couples' marriage rights across the country. "I'm speechless. We've waited for this moment for at least 10 years," said Christine Tanner, who with her partner joined three other Oregon couples in challenging a 2004 voter-approved state constitutional amendment limiting marriage to heterosexual couples.
The attorney general of the left-leaning state ultimately declined to mount a legal defence of Oregon's gay marriage ban against the lawsuit, leaving the conservative National Organization for Marriage to try defending it instead. But US District Judge Michael McShane denied the group legal standing last week, and the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday refused a request by the group to halt the proceedings while it challenged the decision on standing. A short time later, McShane struck down Oregon's ban as unconstitutional, as expected. "There is no legitimate state interest that would justify the denial of the full and equal recognition, attendant rights, benefits, protections, privileges, obligations, responsibilities and immunities of marriage to same-gender couples," he wrote. Within minutes of the ruling, officials in at least four Oregon counties began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, some of whom had already lined up outside local courthouses in anticipation. The scene was festive at the Multnomah County Courthouse in Portland, where 96 marriage licenses were handed the first day to same-sex couples. Among them were Shawna and Emily Roach, who waited outside with their 2-year-old daughter as passing motorists honked car horns in support. "Us being able to be legally married means she won't remember what it's like for discrimination to be legal," Shawna Roach said of their daughter. Many of the first wave of newly licensed couples flocked to a Portland ballroom, where six makeshift alters were set up in anticipation of the ruling. One couple, Constance Ashbrook and Martha Landowne, were first wed in 2004 but saw their marriage undone by the courts after Oregon voters banned gay matrimony. Marriage rights have been extended to gay couples in 17 other states and the District of Columbia in a trend that has gained momentum since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled last June that legally married same-sex couples nationwide are eligible for federal benefits.

Now is very obvious that the people of this world has gone insane, this is total foolishness and stupidity if the report come out to be the truth.

Here's how Beyonce and Jay Z REALLY celebrated baby Blue's second birthday. Forget a church hall full of grizzling toddlers, this was the weirdest birthday party you can every give to a child.

Responding to widespread criticism and public outcry, the National Church of Bey founder Pauline John Andrews stated, “We are very disappointed in the failure of the public to recognize the existence of a divine Deity walking among them. Deity’s often walk the Earth in their flesh form. Beyonce will transcend back to the spirit once her work here on Mother Earth has been completed.”

Beyoncé’s spirit is entrancing. We know that she was sent to this place to spread love, peace, and joy. While we do not believe Beyoncé to be the Creator, we recognize that she still sits among the throne of Gods. There is a lot of false information being spread about our beliefs, but we will correct all of the vicious lie-tellers. As Beyoncé spreads her gospel through song and dance, her message provides uplifting, loving, and many times real-life happenings. We humbly ask you to respect our beliefs, just as you want those to respect yours. Open your Cmind to new possibilities and you will see, just as we did, that Bey is a true higher power. Surfbort!”

Police at makerere univerty Suspect that there is a student who was paid to plant a bonb in makerere University

MAKERERE UNIVERSITY : Police has opened up an investigation on reports that a CoCIS student was paid a sum of 15M Shillings to plant a bomb in Block B of the school at makerere university.

The BIG QUESTION Is : WHAT IS THE POLICE DOING ABOUT IT?

It was not revealed whether or not it is the terrorists who paid this student, but the information on ground suspects it to be true.

Students in makerere University are doing their final year exams and this the police is scared might be used as an oportunity for these terrorists (as we suspect) to target a massive number.

Below is a statement issued by the College Of Computing and Information Sciences Principal.

Makerere Univerity Student Paid To Plant A Bomb In SchoolA statement Released by the School Principal alerting Students and staff about the threat.

Back to the BIG QUESTION.

Times of a threat, a national security threat, the police is very busy making sure everyone who goes inside buildings at the university is thoroughly checked. The entry gates at the University are always blocked to make sure every pedestrian, motolist and all cars are checked for safety. Every student's bag is checked before entering any building.

That has been happening everytime there such a threat.

This on the other hand, is different. No seems to care at all. There is no checking of any sort, no worries at all. I entered the building, I did not see any police officer or any security officials around. About 60% of students entering the building have bags. Who knows what they are carrying inside.

BUT All the police and administration did, was put up a notice like they are alerting a failed paper that needs to be redone. Really, asking students to be vigilant? They are doing their final year exams, who has the time to keep their eyes open and mind focussed on suspicious individuals? Is this a National security issue? May be not, may be It's just a bunch of students. who cares?

Tusaba Government Etuyambe (TGE), and this is for a reasonable cause.
