Rukwa. The Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) secretary general, Mr Abdulrahman Kinana, has urged Members of Parliament through the ruling party to ensure that they visit their constituencies from time to time so that they can address people’s problems .
According to Mr Kinana, any ruling party MP who will fail to frequently visit the electorate and address people’s problems, should consider himself/herself out of race in the coming 2015 General Election.
“A good leader listens and works closely with the people. For CCM legislators, visiting and listening to people’s problems in their constituencies is not an option,” he said.
He added that ruling party MPs should ensure that they closely make a follow up on the implementation of various development projects in their constituencies in line with the party’s 2010 election manifesto.
“Our main task is to implement the party’s manifesto, all MPs must ensure that they follow up and see all projects are being implemented,” said Mr Kinana at a public rally in Rukwa at his ongoing official visit to strengthen the party.
