Ulanga. The road that provides access to the ferry taking people to and from Ulanga has been severely affected by rain, leading to disruption of services.
According to Ulanga residents in Morogoro Region who called The Citizen newsroom, for the past five days people have been using only canoes to reach the ferry.
“The problem is not the Kilombero ferry but the destruction of the access road to the ferry, thereby preventing vehicles from using the facility.
The road has been destroyed by the flooding of Kilombero River as a result of the ongoing rains across the country.
“There is a shortage of fuel and basic materials in the districts and prices of commodities are escalating rapidly,” said the source.
