Church wall collapses, kills five-year-old child

 A five year old girl died on Easter Monday after a church wall collapsed and fell on her, police have reported.
Detailing, the Kigoma Regional Police Commander Frasser Kashai said the girl, Adela Kambi, who was a resident of the Nyarugusu Refugee camp in Kasulu District was the only one killed in the unfortunate incident.

She was attending Easter Mass at the Free Pentecostal Church of Tanzania when the wall collapsed killing her instantly and leaving at least two people seriously.

Kashai named the injured as Omary Selestine (30) and Gideon Bigira (42), who suffered major multiple fractures and the legs of one of them were broken.
Both injured persons, were rushed to Kasulu District Hospital where they remain hospitalized undergoing treatment.

In another incident police in Kigoma have arrested 125 people suspected to be illegal immigrants from Burundi.

Kashai said the suspects will appear in court after investigations are completed.

He also said 240 litres of illicit brew and 260 pellets of bhang were seized during the operation, adding that 19 people were arrested in connection with the seized items.
